Hard-hitting light heavyweights will take center stage for the Ultimate Fighting Championship when Thiago Santos tackles Jamahal Hill in the UFC on ESPN 40 main event. Meanwhile, "The Ultimate Fighter Brazil" semifinalist Vicente Luque faces Fortis MMA standout Geoff Neal in the three-round co-headliner at 170 pounds.
Santos, 38, has lost four of his past five bouts. The American Top Team rep last appeared at UFC Fight Night 203, where he dropped a five-round unanimous decision to Magomed Ankalaev in their March 12 headliner. Santos holds a 14-9 record in the UFC, with victories over Jan Blachowicz, Jimi Manuwa, Anthony Smith, Jack Hermansson and Nate Marquardt.
The 31-year-old Hill has been something of a revelation since he punched his ticket to the UFC on Season 3 of Dana White's Contender Series, having compiled a 4-1 record inside the Octagon.
